A group of developers of the community have created a very good tutorial about the Joomla's MVC (model, view, controller). The mission of the Model View Controller Component Tutorial Collaboration (MVCCTC) is to create documentation describing how to create components for Joomla! 1.5 using the MVC pattern and other Joomla! 1.5 libraries.The MVCCTC promotes the production of complete and well formed Open Source components for the Joomla! 1.5

This tool could be very useful for every developers and it won't be surprising to see many good 1.5 extensions coming from it!

The presentation is over 30 minutes but well worth watching. The first part concerns the organization and growth of the Joomla project. It was the same presentation given by Johan Janssens at Dutch Joomla Day.

I have discovered today "SimpleJS" which is a new and really cool JavaScript library that will allow you to create very good and Web 2.0 effects. This small project as mentionned by the author himself, isn't comparable to the big one as Prototype, Mootools or JQuery but it will permit to any developer to create small effects without difficulty. Moreover, it is very light, only 14ko and the official website proposes some examples.

It is compatible with IE7(Beta), Firefox 2.0 et Opera 2.0

Since a few days, a “revolutionary” tool has been launched in the developers world. No, I'm not speaking of the NeoJoomlaBar ;) but of an extension for firefox which is FireBug 1.0 Beta.

This extension will be very helpful for all web developers, or at least with Firefox users.

Maybe you have already try to access to the configuration of a Mambot in the admin of Joomla! and you had a message prohibiting the access to you.

In fact it's due to a small bug which is located in the file admin.mambots.php

To correct this problem download the official fix and unzip it in the folder :

/administrator/components/com_mambots
