Hey - have you guys seen CATS over at www.catsone.com? This is a fully fledged open-source recruitment app - but what it's lacking is the web front-end piece - why not refocus on using something like that as the back end, and use the NeoRecruit skills to implement an integration into Joomla 1.5.. as I expect NeoRecruit would have to be rewritten to a certain(?) extent anyway...

Just trying to ensure NeoRecruit doesn't get overtaken...and to have the discussion.

Thoughts?

Hello Russel,

You're right, a new version of NeoRecruit is currently in development. This new version will be compatible with Joomla 1.5, and will have some important improvements (recruiters, companies, customization of the forms, ...).

The CATS application seems to be really powerfull yes, but it's not a Joomla component... And create hacks is not our policy.

any chance of a beta release for Joomla 1.5?

I'd be happy to test - just keen to get my new 1.5 site fully functional!

Hi Russel,

The next release will be a 1.0.X version (the last one), we will then try to publish the version for Joomla 1.5.X during this summer.
