Title: NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: king matt on February 19, 2008, 11:58:15 PM I have been using this component for a few months in my old 1.x.x Joomla site and really liked it. Thank you for the contribution. It really helped me showcase my clients easily.
I am building a new site with J1.5 and having issues with your component. I did not see anybody else on the forums here with this issue. The component fails on install without legacy mode enabled. Do you have plans to convert this to run on J1.5 without legacy mode? Once I enable legacy mode it threw and error upon install. My memory fails what it was. I refreshed the page and saw NeoReferences in the component menu so I forged ahead. Adding categories throws an error that it does not have a default folder, so I went in and made the folders manually and 777'd them. That made that error go away. Then I tried to make a reference and applied the same fix as above, and I got an error when I pressed apply or save. Code: Fatal error: Call to a member function uploadFile() on a non-object in /home/colgeek/public_html/v2/administrator/components/com_neoreferences/tasks/admin.references_save.php on line 28 This is my brick wall. Any suggestions? Title: Re: NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: king matt on February 24, 2008, 05:49:10 AM So this works perfectly for everybody in J1.5? I have tried it on 2 sites for a big fail so far.

Yes, a new version of NeoReferences will be developped, it will be released in the following weeks. It seems in your case that some files are missing, I think they were not transfered coorectly during the installation. Can you tell me if you can find the file filesUploader.php in the folder /administrator/components/com_neoreferences/includes/ ? Regards, Title: Re: NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: king matt on February 26, 2008, 03:52:46 AM thanks for responding.
No sir I do not have that file. i DO have a filesUploader.class.php there however. That is also what I found in the /includes/ dir when I unzipped the component. If a new version is due in a few weeks I can wait. It's ok. A email would be great, but I will check back in regardless. Title: Re : NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: Raphael on February 26, 2008, 08:37:30 AM We will try to release the new version as soon as possible yes.
You can also try to upload the file "manually" on your FTP, the component should work correctly then. Regards, Title: Re: NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: king matt on February 26, 2008, 06:18:10 PM Great, I will give it a shot. Thanks for the support and the great component.
Title: Re: NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: Josh Perron on October 08, 2008, 11:02:09 PM Heres the instal error with J 1.5.7. And Rocket theme Terran Tribune template(although this error is not related to template the more info the better I suppose. Also a Linux server running PHP5.
"Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/---/public_html/d----------/administrator/components/com_neoreferences/install.neoreferences.php on line 17" Will try manual install :D. I too got the Line 28 error code with the failed install even after trying to manually replace the files. Title: Re : NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: Raphael on October 13, 2008, 12:35:23 PM Hello Josh,
The component NeoReferences is not compatible with Joomla 1.5.X, nor with PHP5 for the moment. We will release a new version, but unfortunately I can't give you any date now. Regards, Title: Re: NeoReferences and J1.5 failing Post by: Bouqdib Adam on March 28, 2009, 10:58:53 PM Hi!
I'm having the same problem and wondered if you guys scheduled a release date for the new version yet? Many thanks. Adam
