Hi NeoRecruit,

Is there a way to give each category an absolute (customizable?) link? What I'm trying to do is please my SEO company who wants me to get my categories to look like this:

  www.mysite.com/jobs/surgery
  www.mysite.com/jobs/bariatricsurgery
   .... etc!

Is there a way to do this?

Hi Matt,

We are working on the version 2.1 of the component, to improve the SEO features (meta data and URL rewriting). This version should be available in May or June.

Awesome! So in the new release we will be able to give each category a direct page for SEO.

You don't have to wait for an update.
Just rewrite your category in your .htaccess file by this:

redirect permanent /surgery           http://www.mysite.com/content/view/169/329/lang,english/

on which the right part of the line represents the link to that specific category.

You can solve that by putting this 'conversion' into your .htaccess file
You create an alias path and in the second column you define it's real path.
