Few questions before purchase

Hi
I'm very interested in your extension, but I have some questions to ask before I evaluate/purchase it.
- I presume the administrator can edit the fields that appear as a part of a job posting, on a per job basis? Is this correct?
- Can the administrator add fields to a posting, after candidates have started submitting applications for said posting?
- Is there functionality to have a job posting automatically expire after a given date, i.e. removed from the view of users?
- Is it possible to configure the email autoresponser to reply to a candidate *without* sending them copies of their CV and covering letter?
- Does the email autoresponser to a candidate include the name/reference number of the job they applied for?
- Does "the component has now its own search form multi criteria, and a search bot, using the native Joomla! search module" mean the main Joomla search facility can be made to search the NeoRecrit postings as well?
- How easy is it to customise the look n' feel of the front end, using CSS?
- I'm guessing the extension is *not* supplied with source code. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Richard,
- Yes, some fields of the application form can be displayed or hidden, required or optional.
- Yes, the offers form an be modified after any application.
- No, there isn't any expiration date actually. But the offers can de published or un published manually.
- The notifcation emails are always sent with the CV and the covering letter.
- Yes, the notication emails contain informations about the offer too.
- Yes, you can search NeoRecruit offers with the native Joomla! Search Module.
- The component use your template CSS files. So you can customize NeoRecruit as easily as the native components of your web site.
- The extension is supplied with the source code.

Thank you very much for addressing each of my questions. I have a handful of follow-ups, if I may.
Re. point 1, what fields are required? Can the names of required fields be edited or does required mean they not only have to appear but have to use a specific label?
Re. point 3, do you have any plans to add functionality to allow postings to expire?
Re. point 7, does the module come with documentation re. customising the look n' feel?
Re. point 8, given that the module comes with source code, does that mean I could change the code, for example to add functionality to expire postings, or would that not be allowed?
What documentation does the module come with?
Thanks again.

Hi Richard,
- Fields lihe the name, the adress, the level and the experience are required. Then, you can choose to set the fields email, CV and covering letter as required or optional. You can hide tiese fields too.
- NeoRecruit 1.4 was published a few weeks ago, and add functionalities in a next version is not planned for the moment. We'll just publish a new release to fix bugs for example.
- No, there isn't any documentation to customize the component.
- Yes, you could edit the the code of the component, it's allowed!
- You could find some documentation on
the component card
. You've got a description of the component, a tutorial and a demo web site.

Thanks again. Sounds very promising, especially given that I can tinker with the code if need be.
I just tried to download the Evaluation version, but every time I click the add to cart button – English version of your site with Firefox 2/IE 7 - the page reloads but my cart remains empty!? Any ideas?
Also, could you confirm that once I get hold of the Evaluation version, I will be able to install it on my localhost setup without the need for Ioncube.
Many thanks.

Hi Richard,
The problem with carts is solved. You can now add the products to cart and then download them.
The evaluation version and this version only require the Ioncube Loader.

Thanks.
I download the Evaluation version this morning. It was easy to install and your tutorial was straightforward to follow - you know there is a 'but' coming though ;-).
The 'but' is, I can't find a way to edit any of the form labels, e.g. I would like to change 'Job beginning on' to 'Start date' and 'ZIP' to 'Postcode'. Also, I'd like to put a dropdown in place of the 'Country' textbox. I searched the PHP code and run some queries on the database tables, to no avail. Am I right in thinking you cannot make these changes in version 1.4?
Also, when you said earlier that the extension comes with the source, I'm wondering how that works, as you are using Ioncube, which I think means your code is encrypted. Please correct me if I am wrong. All I need to know is, if I buy the extension ‘as is’, will I be able to open up the code - relatively easily - and make changes for myself, like being able to configure the form field labels through an XML file/database table.
Thanks again.

Hi Richard,
The evalution version only is encrypted.
If you buy the commercial version, you could open the source and easily make some changes.

Many thanks for your help.
Unfortunately the project I was going to purchase NeoRecruit for has been put back.
Once it restarts I'll be back to make a purchase.
Thanks again.
