While filling the sybmit form, Is it possible to get username automatically from joomla database in the field of "Name".

Do you have any idea if the new version 1.4.3 has this feature.

Hello,

No, this feature isn't available in the version 1.4.3.

2 reasons for this :
• a candidate is not necessary a user of the site,
• in the application form the lastname and the firstname name are required, and we only have a username and a name (firstname + lastname) in the user table.

I edited the codes and so the name and lastname fields are not required anymore for me... And I removed the lastname field. I just have only one "name"  field and i want to see the "joomla username" in that field.

Is there anyone can do this?

Ok,

You can so call the global variable $my, and set the value $my->name or $my->username in the form by default.
