Can someone explain me where I can obtain a proper manual?
I try to figure out how this works; regarding to the messages in this forum I can configure responder messages with it:

- As responder messages work with user variables, I would like to know which user variables I can work with.
- What does the 'Object' field mean?
- How does one link a message to an applyance's message

etc...

Hello Jos,

I'm sorry, but there's no manual for the moment.

You can use the email types to send an answer to a candidate, but you can't insert any variable in these messages.

The "Object" field is for the "Object" (or "Subject") of the email.

These messages are not saved in the database, but this functionality will be added in a next version of the component.

Hello Jos,

When you are on the profile of a candidate (in frontend or in backend), you just have to select a model of email in the select list, and then click on the button "Answer" in the toolbar. You could then use the contact form to edit the model and send the email.

I've read this information, but i have a follow on question.

I'm interested in setting up an auto responder. I saw mention of this being in the component (http://www.neojoomla.com/option,com_neosmf/Itemid,54/topic,18.msg28/lang,en.html#msg28) , but i'm not sure in what capacity.
Basically, i want to select one of my email texts to be sent to an applicant when they have applied. Like "Thank you for applying, we will process your application in 24 hours."..etc...... this is a very basic and essential function of any system's interaction.

Is it there?

This feature wasn't developped for the moment, but that's not the first time that somebody ask for it. We can so add it to the roadmap for a next version.
